Sustainable Procurement Guidelines

The DNP Group has formulated the DNP Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines as matters that the DNP Group and its business partners should work on to achieve sustainable development while also enhancing the social suitability of the entire value chain.

DNP Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines

Contemporary society, where we all lead our lives, faces an assortment of issues that include environmental, human rights, labor, bribery, and corruption issues and promoting world-wide responses to create a sustainable society is necessary. Within this environment, in recent years there have been growing social demands for companies to take various initiatives to address these issues, as can be seen by the issuance and revision of various international declarations. These include the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the ILO Multinational Enterprises Declaration.

DNP undertakes its businesses in Japan and overseas and takes a global perspective in recognizing the importance of properly evaluating and making improvements for the impacts of its business activities on the international community and local communities. Since 2006, DNP has been collaborating with suppliers to promote socially and environmentally responsible procurement initiatives. To meet these expectations of society at an even higher level, in 2024 we revised the content and name of our guidelines into the DNP Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines, aiming to further strengthen sustainable procurement initiatives throughout the supply chain.

These guidelines prescribe the matters that the DNP Group and its business partners should work on to fulfill their social responsibilities.
