Chemical Substances Management

The DNP Group has established the DNP Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines and engages in various activities to promote socially and environmentally responsible procurement. For chemical substances, in 2004 DNP established the DNP Group Chemical Management Standards and is promoting green purchasing with the cooperation of its suppliers.
Meanwhile, to reduce the risks that chemical substances pose to human health and the environment, regulations on chemical substances contained in products are being strengthened in Japan and overseas while companies are being required to properly understand and manage chemical substances contained in raw materials, materials and products throughout the entire supply chain.

Based on these circumstances, DNP recently reviewed the DNP Group Chemical Management Standards and revised these into the DNP Group Green Procurement Guidelines for Chemical Substances that encompass the ways of managing chemical substances.

DNP asks suppliers to confirm the details of the DNP Group Green Procurement Guidelines for Chemical Substances and to cooperate with the initiatives of the DNP Group. The purchasing departments of business units and Group companies will provide information regarding the details of how we apply the guidelines, such as the method for implementing evaluations of suppliers.
