DNP to Launch Service Combining Security Check Service AuditMyApps and Anti-Cracking Software for Smartphone Applications

Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) is pleased to announce the April 1, 2016launch of a new cloud service that combines the smartphone application (app)security check service AuditMyApps¹ created by Montpelier, France-based PradeoSecurity Systems (Pradeo) and DNP's own anti-cracking software² that preventsillicit app tampering.

High-function apps are on the rise in line with performance improvementsin smartphones and tablet terminals, and the enhancing of security measuresis becoming an important task. In this latest development, DNP has been ableto provide a dual benefit to developers and consumers, by facilitating the developmentand provision of more secure apps. This has been achieved through the combinationof Pradeo's AuditMyApps that tests app security at the development level, andDNP's anti-cracking software that prevents tampering with the developed apps.

• App developers, including companies, use AuditMyApps to test securityat the development stage following app security design. By uploading theapp executable file to the cloud-based AuditMyApps during development, itis possible to obtain the security check result report, and conduct repeatedchecks.
• The anti-cracking software protects applications in a variety of industries,such as net-banking and online games, from cracking. The software worksby taking a developed application that has passed the AuditMyApps securitycheck, and processes it with a cloud-based anti-cracking software to preventtampering.
• The newly developed service allows users to combine AuditMyApps withthe anti-cracking software in a cloud environment in a seamless format.As a result, it will become possible to develop more secure applicationsin an efficient manner.
